Groups Say Justin Bieber Tickets For Detroit Summer Concert Will Sell Out In Seconds

A consumer advocate group is urging fans and parents to beware—getting a ticket to see Justin Bieber in concert next summer in Detroit may not come easy.

Michigan Citizen Action and the Fan Freedom Project expect Bieber tickets to sell out in seconds.

They call it ticket holdbacks, in which a large number of tickets are set aside for fan club members and VIP’s. They claim not much is left for the public.

“Consumers have a right to know,” said John Potter of Fan Freedom Project. “If only a thousand seats are being put on sale, then consumers should know the arena might hold 20,000, but there’s only a thousand seats being put up for sale.”

The groups say reasons like these will leave many fans singing the blues and paying big to see Bieber perform live.

“Fans have a right to face value tickets at the box office or at least fans have a right to get a fair shot at face value tickets at the box office,” said Potter.

Michigan is one of several states considering legislation to address this issue.

One industry insider says there are ways around inflated ticket prices. For example, they say fans can join a fan club or sign up for credit card pre-sale offers.

Ticket prices range from $45 to a little over $100. Tickets go on sale beginning at 10 a.m. Friday at Joe Louis Arena.

The 18-year-old singer has been the subject of a lot of attention today after two men were arrested for reportedly plotting to kill and castrate Justin on behalf of an obsessed fan serving a life sentence in jail.

“We take every precaution to protect and insure the safety of Justin and his fans,” his manager Scooter Braun told Us Weekly.

Two men arrested in Justin Bieber murder plot

Canadian pop star Justin Bieber made headlines on Wednesday, but these ones were grislier than usual for the Boyfriend singer.

According to a report from KRQE, two men were arrested in New Mexico on Nov. 20 in a murder-for-hire plot involving Canadian pop star Justin Bieber.

The pair, Mark Staake and his nephew Tanner Ruane, had been hired to castrate and murder the singer — only to have the plot botched by the very man who hired them.

The plot began in Las Cruces prison, in New Mexico, where Staake met convicted serial killer and rapist Dana Martin. Martin at that point hired Staake, who was also serving time, to carry out four murders after Staake was released from prison — one of which was to be Bieber.

Staake conscripted his nephew, and the pair was arrested in New York City, where they had allegedly planned to stake out, castrate and assassinate Bieber around the time of the singer’s Nov. 28 Madison Square Garden concert. A set of garden shears was found on Ruane’s person at the time of his arrest.

According to reports, Martin, who is currently serving two life sentences for the 2000 rape and murder of a 15-year-old girl, turned Staake and Ruane in to police.

Martin is said to be obsessed with Bieber, and has a tattoo of the singer on his leg.

Justin Bieber’s Dancers Stage Impromptu Dance Routine In Atlanta Airport

Justin Bieber‘s backing dancers caused a scene at an airport in Atlanta, Georgia on Tuesday (11Dec12) when they decided to practice their moves after learning a flight to Washington, D.C. had been cancelled.

Rather than sit around moping about its predicament, the group went through its routine for Bieber’s Beauty & The Beat in the terminal.

The footage was posted on YouTube.com with the message, “So our flight got cancelled in atlanta (sic) and Johnny said imagine if we just started dancing in the terminal… So i (sic) pulled out mycamera and Boom this happened!!!”

It seems Justin Bieber was raring to go when he arrived at the Hot 99.5 Jingle Ball in Washington on Tuesday.

The pop star was already in performance mode as he walked the red carpet and started pulling some moves for the cameras.

The 18-year-old grabbed his crotch as he struck a pose – a gesture the Michael Jackson fan often makes onstage.

Justin, who covered his face with sunglasses, also flipped the ‘peace’ sign as he prepared to make his way inside.

His energetic mood was continued when it was time to perform, and Beliebers in the crowd would have been delighted when the star flashed his abs during one song.

He checked himself out as he lifted up his top, looking pleased with what he saw.

The Boyfriend hit-maker had been dressed casually when he arrived for the evening.

Justin was sporting a grey hoodie over a cat-printed T-shirt, along with baggy jeans, high-top trainers and a yellow UCLA trucker hat.

He then changed into his favourite drop-crotch trousers and black leather tank top, fingerless gloves and trainers before taking the stage.
